Youth swim is back.

Youth Swim periods (noted on the Class Schedule) are when youth/children 16 years of age and younger belonging to adults with Family membership at Kia Ora Fitness may access the pool/spa.

Washington state requires that private clubs with pools must have a lifeguard on duty for youth/children 16 years of age and younger to access the pool/spa [See WAC 246-260-131(6)(b)(iv)]. Youth Swim is the designated schedule for lifeguard supervised swim periods at Kia Ora.

Please note that in order to participate, the following conditions must be met:

  • Parents/guardians must have an active Family membership at Kia Ora Fitness.
  • Parents must be on site while children are in the pool area.
  • 6 year old children must have a parent in the pool area.
  • Parent must be in the water with children under 6.
  • Buoyancy belts, noodles, dumbbells (for classes) are not to be used.
  • Kickboards and pool toys may be used.
  • No standing on, jumping or diving in on kickboards or pool toys.
  • Youth begin cleaning up 5 minutes before end of period.
  • All rules in membership guide and otherwise posted must be followed.
